DIARBEKR (DIYARBEKR): This prison camp was located in the Vilayet of Diarbekr in Kurdistan in southeast Asia Minor. This commercial center was situated on the eastern bank of the Tigris River. The Turks imprisoned British POW's in the Citadel in the city during World War I.
